The 3rd annual WCCTC / USAT Southwest Region Collegiate Triathlon Camp is the perfect place to enhance your triathlon skills under the supervision of an expert coaching staff. Participants will take part in daily swim, bike and run workouts and transition clinics. They will receive one-on-one sport specific instruction, as well as lessons in goal setting, the art of balancing school and triathlon training, nutrition (race day and daily) and race strategy for competition. Emphasis will be placed on developing proper bike handling skills as well as road safety and awareness, open water swim skills, correct running form, efficient swim-to-bike and bike-to-run transitions as well as many other multisport related skills. Athletes will also enjoy getting to know their peers in the Conference who share a similar interest and passion for the sport of triathlon.
Camp is open to ALL levels of interested college-aged triathletes. Each athlete will be evaluated and placed in an appropriate experience group. Each athlete is required to bring a bicycle and helmet. A road or TT bike is recommended, but not required. Each athlete should be able to swim 200 meters (open water) comfortably, cycle for 60 minutes and be able to run 15 minutes. Athletes must have a wetsuit for the swim.
Fee for the camp includes meals (fri dinner, sat lunch/dinner, sun lunch)and all coaching sessions. It does not include transportation, lodging or breakfasts. Camping and lodging is available on site. Lodging is available for a special rate at www.lakesanantonioresort.com. Mention the camp and get a special WCCTC (triathlon camp) rate of $100 off the first night!
When 8 team members register, the coach or advisor is FREE! Each Coach/Advisor will be expected to assist during group workouts. All athletes attending must be USA Triathlon annual members! Go to http://www.usatriathlon.org/member-services to join if you are not a current member!

-Camp will be limited to 50 athletes.
-Teams (collegiate clubs) will be limited to 8 athletes per team (not including an advisor or coach).

-Fee after October 1st - $100- no exceptions!
